Vote for Vancouver! Vote for Elke
Elke Porter is a self-employed mother of two who is looking for some meaningful work to do for the city she loves. Running as an independent, she is hoping to make Vancouver “Clean, green & with an accessible scene!” This includes tackling tough issues like housing affordability and sky-high property taxes.
For the next two months, Elke will be taking a crash course in civic politics and will be turning to all the experts for answers. There are two important goals: find out the best thing to do and then actually see that it gets done. Vancouver, you can do better!
If you look at the statistics, it is clear that Vancouver is at a turning point and can still be saved – by voting for ethical, fair leaders who will actually implement the Mission & Values of the City of Vancouver:
Create a great city of communities that cares about our people, our environment, and our opportunities to live, work, and prosper.

By the way, who am I? I am someone who is affected by what is going on in Vancouver as I can’t afford a house. I also don’t drive, and therefore use a bus, or bike or just my two legs to walk to wherever I go. I shop with a cart – even in wind, ice, snow & rain and my carbon footprint is fairly low. I think I can speak for many in Vancouver who are in the same boat and who need something to change before it is too late. If you want to support me, I would love to have a coffee and hear about potential partnerships.
